Sarah Steele
Raising awareness of social care and informal carers through my professional roles with Carers Matter Norfolk and Norfolk & Suffolk Care Support.
About Me
My working life has spanned health and social care sectors, local authority Social Services and the voluntary and community sector. In 2003 I set up the PALS service for Daventry & South Northants PCT and wrote their first PPI strategy. Since then I have held a variety of posts across the different sectors, all public / patient facing, providing information and advice services. In 2013 / 14 I managed the Macmillan Cancer Information Service for Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn, and from there took the position of Co-production and Policy Officer for Equal Lives, a disability rights service in Norfolk.
I am also a qualified counsellor in the person-centred approach and worked as counsellor in 2 GP practices during the 1990’s in Nottinghamshire. I am also a trainer and group facilitator and have devised and led trainings around person-centred care
