Jeremy Dearling

Representing the patient voice in research programmes. Supporting researchers, reviewing research applications and proposals

About Me

Jeremy Dearling has been involved in supporting research for several years through the Public and Patient Involvement route and contributes to studies at a wide variety of hospitals and universities. He is a member of the Eastern Region Citizens Senate, the public and patient panel of the Stroke Association, is a member of Cancer Research UK Grand Challenge panel and supports researchers informally on an individual basis, and formally through groups based in hospitals. He is informed in this by having been seriously ill himself, having supported his wife through her cancers, and by having worked in the NHS at ward level. He is therefore able to bring three perspectives to his involvement work.
